Rainy weather and strong winds expected in several provinces

The Department of Meteorology has forecast showers today (25) across the Western, Sabaragamuwa, North-western, and Central provinces, as well as the Galle and Matara districts.

Fairly heavy rainfall exceeding 75 mm is expected in parts of the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, and in the Galle, Matara, Nuwara-Eliya, and Kandy districts.

Accordingly, strong winds ranging from 40 to 50 kmph are also expected over the Western slopes of the central hills and in the Northern, North-central, Western, Southern, and North-western provinces, as well as the Trincomalee and Monaragala districts.
